A República Democrática de São Tomé e Príncipe, é um país africano constituído por várias ilhas localizadas no Golfo da Guiné, especificamente a noroeste da costa do Gabão, muito perto da linha equatorial e que é marítima perto da Zona Económica Exclusiva ( ZEE) da Guiné Equatorial. As ilhas mais importantes são São Tomé (São Tomé) e Príncipe. É um dos micro-estados que existem na África.
