Western Sahara (Arabic: الصحراء الغربية‎‎ aṣ-Ṣaḥrā’ al-Gharbiyyah; Berber languages: Taneẓroft Tutrimt; Spanish: Sáhara Occidental) is a disputed territory on the northwest coast and in the Maghreb region of North and West Africa.
